Stijl

Hi there! This was the page for my 48 hour Ludum Dare #26 entry. I've since updated the game. So, you may be interested in viewing the more recent version over here...

Hey there, it looks like you're using Microsoft's Internet Explorer. Older versions of Microsoft's browser don't support HTML5 :(

To play this game you need a modern Browser, like Opera, Chrome, Firefox or Safari.

Jump: X, Move: Arrow Keys, To start the game: Space Bar

This game was made in 48 hours for the Ludum Dare #26 competition. The concept, graphics, music, sounds effects, and game code were created between 10pm on April 26th and 8pm on April 28th.

You can rate my entry and see comments from other awesome and creative participants on the Ludum Dare site.

Stijl is a game based off of the De Stijl artistic movement and Piet Mondrian's paintings. It uses the RBY primary color scheme for game play. I tried to imagine what it would be like to be inside one of Mondrian's paintings. The goal is to move the ball through the colored gates. The ball must be the same color as the gate in order to pass through it. You'll find color switchers and color lasers along the way to help you change colors. There are currently 5 levels. I wanted to add more, but ran out of time and wanted the game to at least have an ending. I probably shouldn't have picked up the guitar for the music, that took longer than I wanted to spend. The music, graphics, and coding were all mine, with the exception of some standard library classes (such as camera and trigger) and the ImpactJS framework. I hope you enjoy it. I had fun making it.
